Chronic cough is an elusive and therefore widely underestimated phenomenon that is usually not taken seriously, so that patients often feel left alone with their problems.

It is therefore all the more gratifying that with NELA products, devices are being developed that should offer data in order to meet the clinical challenge of chronic cough.

I have a great vision for NELA: In the future, cough recording will be a breakthrough, especially in the treatment of unstable COPD patients, whose prognosis can be expected to take a quantum leap for the better through therapy control with the help of cough monitoring!

In the future, NELA products will also be an invaluable aid in differential diagnosis in the difficult field of chronic cough.

We will finally have objective data that will allow us to delineate the diverse and often superimposed causes of chronic cough and to treat them in a targeted manner.

I have been working as a family doctor for 27 years now and have had and still have many patients, some of them with severe chronic respiratory diseases.
